Wind Hospital Phase 2
This project marks the second phase of Wind Hospital, conceived as a continuation of the design concept from the original building. The first phase established a distinctive facade that both reduced heat gain and created a striking visual identity by employing glass blocks as a key design element. For Phase 2, the architects expanded on this idea by integrating U-glass, blending the two materials to achieve a facade that is both dynamic and harmonious.
The design concept for this hospital is deeply inspired by its location at a prominent intersection in the heart of Ubon Ratchathani. The architectural team envisioned the building as a “city lantern”, illuminating the urban fabric at night and enhancing the atmosphere of the cityscape. The aim was to create a landmark that contributes to the urban environment while maintaining the hospital’s identity as a modern, elegant, and sophisticated surgical facility that reflects the vision of its owner.
