Long-time leading sports equipment manufacturer Wilson Sporting Goods has opened its first of several physical retail locations in Chicago. In celebration of Wilson’s heritage and new athletic-lifestyle sportswear collection, the Chicago-based company set out to establish brick-and-mortar stores and experiences that embody its brand and innovative legacy.
Bergmeyer was enlisted to lead the collaboration with the Wilson creative team to create a distinctive space within the existing architecture of the Chicago location. As a team, we partnered on the interior design, graphics, and refresh of the finishes.
The 2,247 square-foot Chicago store pays homage to the brand’s home and 108-year history while marking the beginning of the company’s focus on in-person, interactive experiences.
Following the Chicago store opening, Bergmeyer’s long-term partnership with Wilson’s creative team promises exciting future announcements in the months to come as the leading sporting goods brand continues its direct-to-consumer expansion in New York and other US markets.
