The Williamsburg Garden creates an ascending landscape on a previously abandoned flat lot in Brooklyn. The core of the design is the spatial and sensory experience, scale of functional spaces and heightened interaction with plant life. Upon entering the garden, visitors are greeted with a formal garden and waterfall which drowns out the noise of the city and cools the space. Following the entry path, the elevated west side of the site becomes a densely planted retreat leading to an enclosed courtyard and building for year-round gatherings.
