Located on the banks of the Osprey Lagoon, Wilderness Safaris’ revitalized DumaTau and newly added Little DumaTau to preserve the original charm of the beloved camp while creating an unparalled sustainable safari experience. The rebuilt DumaTau Camp’s seven one-bedroom tented suites and 1 family suite are solar powered featuring floor to ceiling glass windows and large overhangs to cover the expansive decks with private plunge pools, allowing for passive cooling. Newly added Little DumaTau is perfect for private group stays, with 4 spacious tents similarly designed to the main camp, with a shared pool and private main area. A story of sustainable repurposing, reclaimed timber from the previous camp clads the new structures, creating a distinct architectural language through the accommodations, wellness center and main areas.
Collaborating with Wilderness Safaris, Artichoke Interiors and local artist Gina Waldman, Luxury Frontiers completed the architectural design for this award-winning project.
