1438-40 N Milwaukee Ave is a three-building, landmark residential and mixed-use commercial project located in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood. The project site is approximately 22,000 square feet of new residences, offices, and retail space, including the Supreme flagship location. The proposed design included vanilla-box designs for potential rental layouts including a fitness and wellness center, a restaurant, and a large residential space.
BLDG Projects worked with the building’s property owners and the Chicago Landmark Preservation Department to design and renovate the existing buildings located at 1438-40 N Milwaukee Ave. We created architectural design for three commercial spaces, including the retail build out for the storefront that currently houses the Supreme Chicago Flagship location.
We designed the MEP for all three buildings, redesigned the residential spaces on the second and third floors, and structural design
