White Villa is a home located in Bến Tre, Southern Viet Nam, built on the foundation of an old family house that belonged to a family with a long-standing tradition. This family has not only made significant contributions to the local community and history but has also carried forward a unique cultural legacy through generations. With the owner's dedication, White Villa is more than just a residence—it is a heritage to be passed down to future generations.
The villa is designed in a blend of Neoclassical and French country styles, standing as a refined landmark that evokes memories of the flourishing era of Cochinchina during French colonial rule. This influence is clearly reflected in how the French country architecture harmonizes with the landscape and climate of Bến Tre, where the house is nestled among lush coconut groves.
White Villa incorporates not only high-end, imported materials from around the world but also finely crafted local workmanship. Every detail, from the eagle reliefs to the solid gray stone decorative moldings, reflects the exceptional craftsmanship and dedication of the local artisans.
Designing began in 2021, and the villa was completed in 2023, overcoming numerous challenges. The house is situated on a low-lying terrain, making it difficult for construction machinery to access the site. To ensure a stable foundation, Archiro Vietnam’s architects and engineers opted for a deep 38-meter bored pile system. Additionally, the project faced the global Covid-19 pandemic and economic crises, which made importing materials difficult. However, through perseverance and the commitment of both the team and the homeowner, White Villa was beautifully completed.
Each space within White Villa is designed to be airy, with at least two windows connecting directly to the lush garden outside. The interior harmoniously blends family heirlooms with modern architecture, highlighting the legacy passed down through generations.
A standout feature of the home is the circular open-air space that extends from the ground floor to the first floor, located in the living room. This design not only leaves a strong impression on visitors but also aids in air circulation, bringing a refreshing and airy feel to the home.
The villa, like a quiet melody, evokes memories of Cochinchina's golden years. It is a place where tradition, culture, and family bonds are encapsulated in every architectural detail, creating a living space rich in heritage and emotion.
