Whatman was founded in 1740 as a maker of fine papers. Since then, the company has evolved into an international separations technology business with offices around the globe.
The design of Whatman’s United States 18,000 S.F. headquarters is the first Whatman office to incorporate image and branding into the interior architectural aesthetic. Through reception, conference center and product demonstration areas, the prospective client is treated to a minimalist environment in order to emphasize the history of the company and the product being sold.
The success of this project resulted in NK’s development of a corporate branding manual, including interior design standards, which will be implemented in all Whatman offices.
