Our design concept was to reflect the modern style of the booming condo developments in Westboro Village while maintaining a sense of comfort and intimacy. This was achieved by defining areas with glass partitions rather than full and opaque walls, specifying light finishes that flow throughout the space and creating a consistent flow with strong vertical and horizontal lines.
Westboro Property shop is a real estate office located on the ground level of a modern condo building. The 1050 square foot office houses 2 executive offices, 2 assistance offices, 2 touchdown areas, model display area, lounge area, meeting room, private bathroom, copy room and a kitchen for staff to host their chic events. Clean lines and modern geometry define the style of the space with overlapping finishes; such as the quartz countertops and ceiling details. Glass partitions are used to define the 2 executive offices & the meeting room in order to allow the perception of openness/expanse and to enhance the feel of the light finishes. The fabulous Herman Miller office furniture was specified and custom designed by Southam. The kitchen, however small is size, contains all kitchen essentials including a Miele wall oven, Miele espresso machine, dishwasher and wine fridge (of course); supplied by Studio S interiors and custom designed by Southam. Our designs express, with sensitivity and strength, that modernity is best captured through dramatic understatement - A fusion of modern lines coupled with classic elements.
