This project represents an innovative and bold approach to community centre design. The 8,000 m2 facility integrates recreation, arts and social services with a full-service community health centre. This design strategy efficiently unifies a group of formerly disconnected community facilities and provides overall order to the Civic Centre site. Located directly adjacent to and attached to the recently expanded and refurbished West Vancouver Aquatic Centre, the Community Centre is the social and civic heart of West Vancouver. The Centre is targeting LEED-Gold certification.
