ANF Architects has worked closely with Tennessee Health Management (THM) on many projects. For the West Tennessee Transitional Care Facility (WTTC), located in Jackson, TN, ANF designed this two-story, 59,000 SF skilled nursing building to accommodate adults in need of rehabilitative therapy due to medical trauma resulting from surgery, injury, or illness.
The 4,000 SF glass enclosed, light filled physical therapy wing, the building’s main focus, has a 24’ high ceiling and contains specialized strengthening equipment. A commercial kitchen with a large dining room and patio overlook the adjacent city park. All 67 rooms have a view of a centralized courtyard, the city park or heavily landscaped areas. The occupational therapy area includes a kitchen and laundry facility so residents may be re-introduced to the physical process of performing daily chores. This short-stay healthcare facility focuses on adults 65 and older. It has 67 private rooms and offers physical, occupational and speech therapy for those who are transitioning from hospital to home. The building incorporates sustainable design features as well as an energy management system to help control mechanical and electrical usage.
