This project was all about bringing new life to one of Seattle Public Schools’ most beloved historic buildings. From steep clay tile roofs to low-slope membrane systems, we tackled nearly every type of roof on campus—while also repairing masonry and bringing back architectural details that had been lost over time, including the school’s iconic clock tower spire.
Collaboration was at the heart of our approach. We worked closely with the school district, construction team, and Seattle Landmarks Preservation Board to make sure every update honored the building’s historic character, while also providing durable, low-maintenance solutions for the future. Our goal: protect this landmark for generations, and do it in a smart, sustainable way.
The result? A beautifully restored roofscape and façade that preserve the school’s original charm while improving safety, performance, and resilience for decades to come.
