This is a West Java Art and Cultural project architecture competition.
Center (WJACC) in Bandung, West Java.
The building and its complex must be a "Place" for the region and
Bandung city environment. Place has a Community-driven nature,
Adaptable, Inclusive, and Focused on creating destinations, Flexible,
Culturally aware, ever changing, Multi-disciplinary, Transformative,
Inspiring, Collaborative, and Sociable.
The Signature of West Java .... Exploration of WJACC (West Java Art and Cultural Center) building design, able to become a new architectural icon expressing symbolic of West Java art and culture. The expression of elliptical glass building (symbolic shape of Jabar logo taken to lift the folklore symbol of the boat upside down (elliptical cone cut) Tangkuban Perahu, expressed a transparency as a protector of the massive container form inside (symbolic of a place where art and culture West Java is collected.) The building appears free with curved lines and curvilenear plane to tell a tug of silhouette of dance, mountain, and river which symbolize Jabar The lines and shape of the building mingle tells a "signature".
