a renovation of an existing spanish colonial located in the hills above west hollywood in los angeles.

a glass wall along the rear of the house takes advantage of the lushly terrace rear and side yard, breaking down the boundary between inside and out. a stacked stone fireplace passes through the glass envelope, onto to the back patio formed out of the same stone.

a brisolei wraps to provide privacy and shade for a studio and master bedroom suite, while further blurring the boundary between inside and out.
