This design represents the timeless modernity that is the hallmark of our firm and we believe its crisp,
geometric form will stand out as an iconic tower in the skyline of Wenzhou. A distinctive sloped top
distinguishes this building, whose highest point serves as a beacon to the city and highway below before
gently curving down to form a large welcoming canopy at the base.
Down at the base the sinuous shape of the tower is transformed into a flowing porte-cochere canopy
that creates an impressive, grand entrance to the hotel and simultaneously creates a space on top for an
outdoor pool deck for hotel guests. Above, in the tower, offices with 4.5m floor to floor heights offer full
floor to ceiling glazing to bring in an abundance of natural light while hotel rooms at the top of the tower
offer unparalleled views of the surrounding city. At mid tower, a full floor, double height sky lounge will
become a food and beverage destination for hotel guests while a 1000 person banquet hall and conference
center will become one of the largest meeting venues in the area.
The exterior skin of the tower will be a sleek all glass enclosure which will clad the building in the most
energy efficient and technologically advanced glazing available, providing the latest in thermal insulation
and solar heat gain protection.
A project of this magnitude is a testament to the continued importance of Wenzhou to China and the
greater worldwide economy. We believe this opportunity to develop a world class hotel and office tower
marks yet another milestone in the exceptional growth Wenzhou has experienced as one of China’s
most important port cities.
