Wellness Park – Houston, Texas. Arc Three Studio recently completed a mixed-use center that focuses on a health and fitness lifestyle as a basis for the design. This location in Houston has a small existing building in the back which would be renovated to house a gym and community coffee bar. Adjacent the gym would be a new building that is anchored by a ‘green’ restaurant; complete with an open patio that spills out onto the pedestrian walk. Challenging the status-quo of what a PEMB should look like, we used a mixture of expressive structural elements, bold color, and polycarbonate facade’s and roofs to enhance the user experience.
