International Contest - Welcome in Hotel

The existing building 'Colonia Reggiana', now abandoned and in ruin, hosted in the past, young people with rehabilitative purpose.
The Promoter of this contest asked to renovate the building with the purpose to realise a hotel with requirements of warmth and hospitality. Intention of the designers is, according to the requirements, to lighten the severe rationalist body construction, making it more dynamic, since the outdoor, seduce the user to enter in a fresh and light reality, made of colours, shapes and materials that deconstruct and give new life to the spaces. Using materials and colours as well as give impetus and vitality to the volumes, means "dress" the existing structures with clothes that can be changed and reinterpreted over time into an innovation constant fabrics; clothes, pressed cardboard, wood and ceramics, stress paths, feature spaces and involve the audience into a sensory experience that adds value in the context of hospitality.
