This renovation included undoing remodels that occurred in the 1970's for a 1905 landmark Craftsman home. Gallons of paint were removed from the original redwood wainscoting and stairway. Hallway closets were removed to expose the original redwood wainscot in the foyer and upper landing. Door and window casework was milled to match existing casework and all the lights were replaced with Arts & Crafts fixtures.
Upstairs, a custom oak window seat and cabinets in the landing replaced cheap shelving. In the master suite, the open 1970's layout was reconfigured for privacy. In addition, the kitchen and all the bathrooms were completely remodeled with fixtures and materials reminiscent of the Arts and Crafts Period.
