An existing house underwent a complete remodel, and so did the garden. Existing mature trees were kept in the front and side yard, screening the house from the street. A beautiful existing fig tree welcomes you as you enter the home.
A new, low wood fence was added along the street, and large slabs of limestone create a beautiful pathway to the house. The steps are solid chunks, beautifully finished, of the same limestone.
The front garden is small and with dappled light from the trees. Planting was narrowed down to greens and yellows, and the no-mow lawn gives a lush, soft expression.
The back yard is made up of a long, narrow limestone patio along the house, and is held up by rough riprap to prevent erosion from the bay. This is the place to enjoy the bay, the sea life, the sun, and the fresh air.
