This boutique sectional title development was designed on a site in Waterkloof Glen in Pretoria. The design explored how efficient layouts and cost-effective materials and finishes can create a pleasant living environment with ample shared space between communal spaces and private gardens. The 2-bedroom and 1.5-bathroom units were designed as contemporary, minimalist, and modern units, with each unit having access to a private garden and balcony on the first floor. The semi-public spaces such as the living room and patio, are located on the ground floor, while bedrooms and bathrooms, which require more privacy, are located on the first floor. The interior blended Scandinavian and Japanese styles to create a unique aesthetic in the living room and throughout the furniture. We used warm timber flooring to create a cozy atmosphere balanced by luxurious natural stone marble and terrazzo tiles. Sleek black and white cabinetry and appliances in the kitchen provided the perfect minimalist canvas for culinary creations.
