The Appalachian Field Services Deep Energy Retrofit project is a collaboration to provide a template for Deep Energy Retrofits to vacant rowhouses and high-performance retrofit workforce training to Baltimore. The template includes high-performance masonry retrofit details, typical floor plan designs, heating/cooling/ventilation system diagrams and specifications, material specifications, and workforce training modules. The technical assistance for the design was funded through the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund and administered by Seed Commons. Appalachian Field Services operates under the WaterBottle Worker-owned Cooperative.
