For this large, regional shopping mall in Tianjin, China, MAS provided design assistance as part of a team led by Barriscale Design Studio. MAS oversaw BIM documentation through design development, coordinating technical details for the mall’s three, three-story-tall atria as well as podium connections to four residential towers. Within the mall, each atrium defines a shopping district with its own character. To strengthen this concept, MAS developed storefront typologies that engage the energy and scale of an urban retail district centered around a bustling plaza.
