The “chacun chez soi et tous ensemble” house
works around the idea of a paradoxical domestic space* for four people. It takes into account the mobility of bodies and is based on the enriching aspect of multiple presences in space. It is entirely conceived on the collaboration of private spheres and common rooms. Taking into account the modus operandi of each individual, a series of volumes are adapted to specific uses (getting changed, washing, going to work, sleeping etc). These domestic itineraries are inscribed within an ascending spiral in order to minimize the occupation of ground space. This verticality has led to a reinvention of a sustainable proximity. Situations of exchange are thereby regularly renewed and new domestic solidarities created thanks to the possibilities of accomodation offered by every room of the house. The general compact aspect of the volume is a deliberate attempt to inscribe the house in a logic of long-term sustainable living. In principle, the growth of the volume is also taken into account.
