The house in nature, the house and the topos.
The minimum intervention of human existence to the landscape. A hut.
The building composes an effort to revive the primary relationship of human habitation to the landscape.
Satisfying the basic functional needs of a country house and at the same time taking into account the spatial, as well as the structural, characteristics of the place.
From a distance the building seems to be fully integrated to the landscape. A canopy under which two building volumes are observed. It is not clear whether the volumes support the roof, or whether they are two separate systems, yet the whole building is perceived as a whole.
The house is developed in two independent volumes. One hosts the kitchen, storage room and a semi-outdoor dining area, while the other hosts the bedroom along with the bathroom. The yard is the main living space, through which the act of living is transformed. The two volumes are characterized by irregular geometry, following the diversity of the landscape. Acting as an element of the environment, an extract of nature. These two volumes are unified and framed by the wooden canopy which extends to the whole courtyard.
The silent presence of the house in the landscape gives the impression of a sacred building. A building that seeks solitary return to the roots of human habitation.
