Wa Ma is a wooden cube screen that transforms light into architecture.
The installation is composed of a suspended field of wooden cubes, forming a permeable layer between inside and outside. Inspired by the Japanese concepts wa (harmony) and ma (interval and void), the system balances order with disruption.
From one perspective, the grid appears continuous and structured; from another, it dissolves into irregular rhythms as cubes are cut at varying angles. This duality creates a constantly shifting play of light and shadow, turning the facade into a living surface that evolves throughout the day.
Supported by slender stainless-steel rods, the cubes appear to float in space, emphasizing lightness, depth, and movement. The result is not a static partition, but an active architectural element that redefines the relationship between structure, ornament, and atmosphere.
