This project involves three stages of construction. The first stage, which has now been completed, involved the construction of a new four-story extension with a total area of 1,650 m².
The extension will house various classrooms, benches in the corridors for students to rest, and new sanitary facilities.
After all stages have been completed, the school is expected to have 53 classrooms, 50-60 employees, and up to 1,200 students.
The building is designed to meet the A++ energy efficiency class. Matt fiber-reinforced concrete panels have been chosen for the facades of the annex, creating a contrast between the existing and newly designed facades. Sustainable and durable materials have been selected that meet both quality and contemporary architectural trends. To protect against excessive sun heat, some of the facades will be covered with slats and lamellas rotated to the required degree, and multifunctional (tinted) windows with sun control will be installed.
Due to the planned more spacious premises, the area of the gymnasium will increase to 7,370 m² (the area before the reconstruction was approximately 5,749 m²).
Next to the gymnasium building, the walkways will also be renovated and a modern outdoor classroom will be installed. There are also plans to renovate the school’s fencing by installing a new segmented fence, gates, and passage gates with access control equipment to ensure a safe environment inside the school.
Once the work is complete, the gymnasium building will better meet the needs of the school community. More spacious, warmer, visually more attractive, and better adapted to people with disabilities, the premises will ensure a more pleasant experience for students and visitors, as well as better working conditions for employees.
