Vyta enoteca regionale was conceived with the aim of enhancing the brand and the food and wine culture of the Lazio region. Located in Via Frattina, one of the oldest streets of Rome listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, it is the fruit of a public-private partnership in a space with a strongly connoted contemporary design, which balances the building’s historical heritage and contemporary creativity, to welcome wine and food lovers to meet, eat, drink and socialize.
Precious materials such as wood, rose gold copper, glass and velvet enshroud contemporary environments in an intimate and welcoming atmosphere. Decorative claddings with geometric patterns in beech wood contrast with rough concrete walls, while rose gold copper elements sparkle on enveloping black surfaces in a succession of spaces that merge into each other in alignment with the typical plan layout of the listed 16th century roman townhouses.
The venue, stretching across three floors, is a continuous flow of sensorial experiences connected to the gastronomic offer, to the architecture that envelopes it, and to its soft atmosphere.
The wine bar, at ground floor, is dominated by a single 17-meter long counter, it is covered by small tubes of polished copper in rose gold, which rises from the Sahara noir marble floor with a herringbone ‘Hungarian’ pattern, while a bottle rack, running up the counter, combines functionality and design. A strongly “material” marble countertop with black leather stools welcome customers to enjoy wine and taste the typical products of local excellence, carefully selected and prepared with passion by great chefs.
A small library, wrapped in rose gold mirror walls with green velvet sofa and armchairs of a vintage mood, is dedicated to the reading of newspapers and books about food and wine of Rome and the Lazio region.
The fine dining restaurant, at first floor, is an energizing mélange of contrasting textures. Black ceiling, rough concrete walls and dark oak floor provide a stark and sombre background for the more sumptuous, rich textures and exuberant colors.
The restaurant has three dining rooms, achieve its own personality by the use of a different setting.
A rose gold copper screen delimits, without fragmenting the restaurant main room, round and square tables in black glass, velvet-clad orange chairs, stand in a dark shell, which contrasts with the milled beechwood boiserie with rhomboid pattern.
The expansive canopy of pentagon shaped mirrors is lit with vintage bulbs over the space and creates a warm glow that distorts, reflects and sets the glamourous tone of the dining experience.
Orange velvet sofas with small wicker armchairs set the scene for a more intimate atmosphere in the second room where, sliding doors with decò details in rose gold copper define the boundary between the social space and a private room with a big table of ten seats.
Surprising in its strong expressiveness inspired by the early 20th century, VyTA Enoteca Regionale del Lazio, is a versatile and dynamic venue, where different souls are combined: the conviviality sparked through the ancient gesture of the wine and a concept of hospitality adaptable to every moment of the day fuse in an environment where materiality and light bring to life a universe that poises tradition and innovation.
