The cooperative bank is committed to sustainable economic management for its members. This should also be reflected in the architecture.
The building presents itself sustainably in all 3 categories:
Economically by the use of affordable, resource-sparing engineering like e.g. the natural thermal updraft in the solar chimney. Ecologically by e.g. the reduction of space by up to 42% and thanks to an persuasive climate+energy concept: the primary energy consumption is about 70% below the directive specified by the EnEV (GermanEnergySavingOrdinance). The work climate (social dimension) has also changed for the better: The bright atrium is the communication centre of the building across different levels. Employees see more of each other, communicate more and spend more time together. Preferably in the cafeteria on the top floor with its lovely view across the historic district.
