The original Voyager Coffee location in Santa Clara was in need of a makeover. One of the busiest coffee shops in the South Bay, the location serves hundreds of college students from the nearby University as well as businesses from all over Silicon Valley.
With this in mind, we wanted to create an atmosphere that retains the ethos of the company, craft product that is inspired by world travel but also serves a diverse customer base in a way that is modern and professional.
Our design kept the focus on the coffee bar as the nucleus of the space, in form and in concept, while custom benches, countertops, and planters provide pockets for a variety of activities such as working, eating, drinking coffee, and for social and business interactions. A rope installation and a variety of murals evoke the sense of traveling, ships, and craft coffee.
