Office design for Vook inc. which develops various businesses to support video creators. In order to further grow and expand the company that has increased productivity even with remote work, we planned a "place for gathering" to increase the sense of unity and motivation.
"Vook Library" is a library that can activate creativity by displaying the latest images from projectors and tablets and books selected by creators. We were inspired by the Video book that gave rise to the company name Vook. By arranging the library at the entrance of the office, we convey the corporate stance as a source of information. It is configured to go through the bookshelf and enter the workspace or meeting room. In addition, some of the bookshelves incorporate benches, one-on-one tables, and high counters that serve as a basis for standing talk. This creates a space where accidental communication that cannot be obtained by remote work occurs.
In addition, various materials are used for furniture in order to be close to the work content and mood. The bookshelf is dyed in blue, which is inspired by Vook's vision visuals, giving it a highly tactile finish that gives the impression of wood. Monotone furniture that complements the blue of the bookshelf, such as a work table made of laminated durable paper, a monitor counter made of linoleum, and a stainless steel high counter that is used as an extension of the kitchen, has been given a texture. And the signs in the library and meeting room are dyed with aluminum.
In the present age when remote work has become widespread, it is becoming more common for multiple online meetings to be held simultaneously in one space. To handle this situation, we have scattered locations throughout the office that can be used for online meetings. In addition, we are actively incorporating divisible tables, movable walls, and highly soundproof curtain booths to ensure a temporary distance. And we arranged them so that they were not visually conscious. We have created an orderly margin that complements creativity and a “place for gathering” that makes it fun for workers to come to the office.
