The objective of the project was to create a "void" within an existing space. My goal was to create a space which would engage urban street traffic with the gallery, creating more interest to the gallery, and designing sort of a permanent installation- to mimic Frank Gehry's complexity right up the street on Michigan Avenue. The space allows for interaction and dialogue between the outside and inside of the gallery, along with outdoor public seating- and a window to allow for exchange and interaction.
