“Vision House Aspen” was developed with the idea that contextually smaller, technically advanced, glamorously green homes are the future. The project team undertook this project to identify how a luxury home can significantly reduce its environmental footprint and contribute to reducing Green House Gas emissions. This 6,750 SF LEED for Homes registered project was developed using an integrated design process to achieve an extremely high level of green. This project achieved LEED Gold by implementing numerous regionally appropriate green building techniques, materials and systems. Energy sources for the home include geothermal with ground source heat pumps, solar thermal, and solar PV.
