Villa X is a private residential building with an area of 250 square meters.
The project was created for a young Client who works in the space industry. His main idea was to create feeling of a landing spaceship.
The house is located on a triangular-shaped plot with an area of only three acres, which was the reason to create an elongated vertically-oriented house shape. The entire house has energy-efficient glazing around the entire perimeter and a curtain fiberglass facade that folds into an accordion if necessary. The house has two exploited roofs - in the master bedroom area and also in the upper level roof. In addition to working in the space industry, the client also enjoys yoga and Buddhism. Therefore, he asked architects to use Buddhist motives in the interior, as well as warm textures of wood and plants. The texture of the floor is engraved with the solar system, and Buddhist calligraphic motifs can be found on the walls.
