Villa Vs is designed for Kuwait's harsh desert environment where temperatures may reach over 50 degrees C and with sometimes brutal sandstorms. Many sustainable design strategies have been implemented such as the sunken courtyard which creates a micro climate, a pool and green wall takes the temperatures down while maintaining a sophisticated luxury contemporary environment. A modern mashrabiya breaks the southern sun and adds a layer of privacy for this single family house. Together, with green materials such as recycled wood panels the house shows that its possible to live in style while bring sensitive to the environment.
