Lightning: to catch the Nordic light as much as possible under the trees, we open up the house to the light. The 6 m long rooftop window that starts at the main entrance and follows the hall down into the kitchen, allows for as much daylight to enter as possible and provides a view of the blue sky and the treetops. In addition the whole glass-facade, that goes from the far end and around toward the annex also allows for as much light to enter as possible. After dark built in lightning provides an even and effect-full lightning of the house. The preserved trees also have lights, that make the view of the garden powerful at night.
By making a so strong connection between the house and the garden, the house extends into the garden, and the garden extends into the house, making this very space efficient house to seem open.
We aimed to create an playful, effectual and fun to live in house, that will enhance the family's free time experience at the site, in any weather any time of the year!
