The Villa Värmdö is situated the beautiful archipelago of Stockholm in Sweden. The residence is given its form to embrace the ocean view in two directions giving shape to two wooden wings that are stretching apart in opposite directions. The wings are combined by a central, light room containing entrance, kitchen, wardrobe and dining area into which the surrounding forest and daylight is incorporated helped by big windows that opens widely. The transparency lets the nature and forest interact with the constructed spaces and gives a feeling of being outside when You are inside. The contrast in the use of materials stresses the concept even further. One of the wings holds the living room and library, whilst the bedrooms, bathrooms, and other secondary facilities are situated it the other wing.
