VILLA SHOHUD explores the contrast between suspension and stability through the interplay of light, pure volumes, and empty spaces. Located in a villa complex in the forested foothills of Mazandaran, the design concept revolves around the combination and rotation of forms with light. The suspended terrace highlights the importance of voids.
Light plays a key role, entering through controlled gaps in the southern facade and moving throughout the villa, with a large skylight bringing soft illumination. The use of raw and polished materials like concrete, stone, glass, and wood enhances the sensory and visual experience. Privacy and transparency are balanced through volumetric shifts and wooden louvers, ensuring harmony with the surroundings.
