Villa Rugari is characterized by its play on volumes and shadows. The most noticeable element is its swimming pool attached to the building. Though located just a few meters from the ocean, for security reasons, it is difficult to build openly on the beach. Attaching the pool to its volumes draws the slightly distant ocean closer to the house.
A visual illusion that reflects the wavy shadows right inside adjacent living quarters.
