Background
Originally built in 1987 and expanded in 2001, the villa underwent a full reconstruction in 2022 to meet the needs of a new family. The project included a complete interior redesign, exterior transformation, and new landscape strategy.
Design Approach
The brief sought a contemporary, minimal identity that harmonizes with the natural surroundings. All interior spaces were reimagined while preserving square footage, including the integration of a new lift. The ground floor now hosts a semi-open kitchen, living and dining areas, and support spaces. Private rooms occupy the first floor, while recreation and auxiliary uses fill the semi-daylit basement.
Architectural Envelope
All decorative façade elements were removed, leaving the original shell intact. A new wooden-grid “second skin” wraps three elevations, infilled with fiber-cement panels. The remaining volume facing the pool is treated as a clean projection. A flat roof replaces the old ceramic one, providing space for solar equipment.
Interiors & Landscape
Earthy tones, oak flooring, beige ceramics, and selective black marble define a calm, minimal interior. Outside, the redesigned pool, seating terraces, and planted pathways create a sequence of leisure zones – culminating in stepped bleachers that connect the pool level to the basketball court and form a vibrant social hub.
