VILLA "PANORAMA" Black sea coast. (2005-2007) architectural studio “A-GA”, Engineering "ECOTECTURA" Coauthors: Vladimir Gumankov, Elena Manuilova.This villa is located in a very peculiar area. Stylistically as well as spatially it impresses by a strong identity, which we felt is rather "anti-generic", albeit very characteristic of the time. The spot is surrounded by various constructivist sanatoriums of the 20s, floating within a rich natural setting. Our project was developed within a framework of working out an efficient programmatic scheme, meeting client"s demands and our desire to reflect on as well as actively interact with the context. Thus, the new object emerged through the synthesis of a special quality of locality, of the vernacular.Terraced volumes slide along the hill, opening great views of the seashore on one side and interacting with the existing landscape on the other. The volume has three main parts, reflecting the client"s desire to have three separate spaces for family members. The spacious terrace and a pool in the lower part of the house unite three volumes. One part of the facade is transparent and open to the seaside. Another part is opaque and perforated, diffusing the sun-light from the Southern side
