The property built by architect Oscar Marchi at the end of the 1950s was intended as a residence attached to a private medical studio, featuring architectural characteristics of value, attributable to the tradition of architect Carlo Scarpa's school. 3ndy Studio was called upon for the project of energy and architectural redevelopment of the building, preserving its stylistic elements, such as the floor plan composition and its connection between aesthetics and function, the refinement of construction details, the use of exposed brick in the facade and fences with textured processing. The building has a courtyard layout, with the main rooms facing the south-facing internal garden; on the ground floor, part of the internal courtyard is occupied by a private medical studio, which was used by the owner. The functional division is clearly expressed by the geometry of the building, through the central staircase void that acts as a focal point and separator, reinforced by the presence of a dividing wall rising in the internal garden. The interior design has faced many complexities to preserve the ancient materials while combining them with new generation materials, used to make the building comfortable from an acoustic and thermal point of view. Clean lines and simplicity are immediately perceptible to the eye, which is also stimulated by careful study of the lights and the presence of the outdoor pool. The addition of the outdoor pool completes the redevelopment project, starting from the main element and moving parallelly through the outdoor spaces. Villa Marchi marks the delicate balance between conservation and innovation, where history skillfully guides the signs of the future.
