In a suburb of Almere the municipality is envisioning a large eco-friendly park in which 7 sustainable villa’s and 1 cradle-to-cradle residential tower are to be developed. Villa KasCade focuses on the re-use of rainwater for irrigation of the large interior connected gardens and the flushing of the toilets. The connected atria provide in a intermediate temperature which can be exchanged with the inhouse temperature. Large louvers on the southfacade collect solar energy while blocking the warmth of the sun.
