Villa Gradaška consists of two multi-apartment buildings, which are connected with an outer staircase. The location itself is one of the most attractive in Ljubljana and offers views of the Ljubljana Castle, Gradaščica Park and Trnovo Church – almost in the very center of Ljubljana, but still far away from the city noise.
The shape of the buildings was dictated by the shape of the plot itself. The plot is elongated and slowly narrows towards Gradaška road. Thus, we get two structures of trapezoidal shape, which offer interestingly designed floor plans for individual apartment units. The large balconies additionally enrich the building and at the same time provide the residents direct contact with surrounding nature.
On basement underground floor there are parking lost and technical rooms, after that we have four floors with apartments, covered by a flat roof. The last two floors of the building next to the road represent a two storey apartment the structure of which is made of wood. At the same time, the choice of façade material emphasizes the design of the entire complex. The basic forms are surrounded by a white ceramic facade, while the central communication core as well as the only twoo floor apartment unit is surrounded by a dark gray profiled steel sheet with a unique pattern. Strong colour contrast is enriched and softened with the wooden lining inside the protruding balconies.
Vila Gradaška offers modern high standard apartments, which are skillfully connected to the surrounding nature at the elite location in the capital city. In spite of its modern design and modern materials, the villa is discreetly placed on the view while offering its inhabitants enough intimacy in the middle of the city bustle.
