Villa Estherbee was designed as an addition to a small bungalow for a very creative and talented couple and their lovely daughter. The light-filled addition attaches to the existing bungalow at the kitchen with a 2-storey opening to the library above. The addition dematerializes from the front of the house, moving from small openings that are typical of a brick bungalow to large expanses of glass and multi-storey spaces. Color is used sparingly but with great effect, and is reflected against multiple surfaces to create subtle shifts in mood.
