Villa Dubochet is a high-end residential renovation located in Clarens, Montreux, within a protected ensemble of late 19th-century villas classified as Grade 1 historical monuments.
Developed in close collaboration with the Swiss Department of Historical Monuments, as well as specialized architectural and landscape offices, the project carefully balances heritage preservation with contemporary living.
Due to the building’s protected status, interventions were meticulously planned, including the creation of a new basement level, integrating wellness areas, a home cinema, and a climate-controlled wine cellar. These spaces introduce a contrasting contemporary dimension, offering immersive and experiential environments within the historic structure.
Above ground, the villa’s architectural elements—facades, roofs, openings, and balconies—were fully restored in accordance with the original design. Interior spaces were reconfigured to enhance spatial fluidity, natural light, and modern comfort, while maintaining the identity of the residence.
A defining feature of the project is the staircase, restored in its original pink hue based on archival research, reinforcing the dialogue between historical authenticity and contemporary expression.
The project reflects ADELI’s approach: transforming heritage architecture with precision, respect, and a strong contemporary vision.
