Villa Chamby is a mid-century residential renovation located in Montreux, Switzerland, originally built in the 1960s in a Bauhaus-inspired architectural style.
Untouched for decades, the villa has been carefully transformed to preserve its original architectural identity while introducing contemporary living standards. The intervention respects the purity of its volumes, clean lines, and minimalist composition.
The project includes a full reconfiguration of the interior spaces, enhancing spatial flow, natural light, and functionality. Openings were redesigned and extended to strengthen the connection between interior and exterior, while maintaining the coherence of the original design.
A new annex was added to extend the living space, seamlessly integrated into the existing architecture.
The interiors combine curated design furniture and artworks within a refined and minimal framework, where every element is carefully positioned to enhance the spatial experience.
Villa Chamby reflects a precise balance between preservation and transformation—reviving a modernist heritage while adapting it to contemporary life.
