Villa Brouwersdam
The client’s wish was to have a dwelling designed with sufficient privacy when viewed from the public road as well as an open, transparent passage into the garden. These are the two starting points for this villa in Hoofddorp.
We have rotated the plot and volume in relation to the road. This piece of urban infrastructure represents the starting point on which our design began.
A central atrium in the building joins all interior spaces and areas. At the same time this atrium opens the door to clearly-indicated routes. And what’s more, behind the relatively closed façade, it lets in daylight into the very heart of the building.
We have designed the rear side of the villa as transparent as possible to ensure that the inside area and external space can seamlessly merge into one another.
