The building site is located on the margin of a small municipality in the north of Berlin's urban fringe. The floor plan of the residence is following the idea of an open
space continuum which results in a minimum of closed spatial units. Areas of activity, such as Working, cooking and living, will be spatially differentiated but at the same time perceived within and as a monospace. The two-floor airspace structures the room sequence and is also following the idea of a monospace in the vertical alignment. On the top floor, there are situated the bedroom, the dressing room, and a generous bathroom. In the underground storey, the housing technology, a storage space, and a commodious sauna area are placed.
The project pursues the approach of a "low-tech house". In contrast to the "smart house", here, the housing technology-equipment is reduced to a minimum. The intended abandonment of a technical performance is to be understood as sustainability in constructing. This counter strategy supports the aim of spatial indeterminacy, which is a central demand of the project.
