For the refurbishment of the building on Rua da Prata, intended to house a Hotel Unit in apartment-style accommodations, it was considered essential to restore the character and integrity of the original design in order to preserve the image of the historical ensemble of the Pombaline Downtown.
These intervention principles are particularly evident in the restoration of the ground floor openings, for which the metrics and design of the pre-existing façade were reinstated.
In organizational terms, the ground floor of the building is divided into a spacious retail space (extending to two basements) and a separate entrance on Rua de Santa Justa, providing access to the Atrium/Reception of the Hotel Unit. On the upper floors, a concept of "apartment units" was adopted (3 per floor), totaling 14 units.
