A quick glance at some successful urban revitalization projects in historic centers of large cities in the world, such as London, Paris and New York, demonstrates the importance of reintegrating these areas and giving them new uses. This same type of transformation is now happening in the downtown area of Rio de Janeiro.

Villa Aymoré, located in the Glória district, about half way between the downtown area and the city’s south zone.
