AlSalam means peace in Arabic. The concept attempts to integrate an L shape courtyard, modern aluminum mashrabiya (sun screens) to provide a peaceful sanctuary from the sun and hustle and bustle of life. Stone cladding provides an elegant touch but most importantly insulates the house from the heat. The main house high door expresses local hospitality and welcomes homeowner and neighbor alike.
